PHOTOGRAPHY
I’m fascinated by people.
I love capturing all those fleeting moments in life that we can gaze upon time and time again.
That’s when we really begin to see.
I picked up my first digital camera when my son was born. I knew I had to photograph all those times I would look at so fondly in family albums.
The wonder, the laughter, the fancy dress, the first day at school.... quickly realising that a camera felt natural in my hand and that I was able to make people feel comfortable while I gleefully snapped away at them.
Then I got amongst it.
Back stage at Fashion shows in London, Paris and Milan, Weddings, Flowers, Stag do’s, Film sets, Gigs, Parties, Holidays, Hospitals, Historical Reenactments etc. and not forgetting friends and family. You name it, I love getting the shots that bring those memories and feelings flooding back for people to cherish forever.
The pleasure and excitement I get from the initial click of the shutter when I know I've caught something I wanted, to then carefully editing each one and realising I have captured a special image, is a real thrill. When finally I present them to happy people, it really makes all the careful work of it so endlessly rewarding.
Since its establishment in 2020, I am the principle photographer for the Cotswold floral company Millefleur. Together with my wife Pearl, the founder, we've worked closely to create a strong visual identity for the brand from the website design to the photography, You can see some of the images in the Millefleur tab in the main menu.
